Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Arrley Pty Ltd (ABN 87 701 846 148), trading as SafetyLM (“SafetyLM”, “we”, “us”), about your use of SafetyLM at chat.safetylm.ai (and any other address we serve it from), and everything we provide through it (together, “the Service”). Our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Disclaimer are part of these Terms.
By creating an account, or by using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old. The Service is built for people working in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety and related fields in Australia and New Zealand, and you agree to use it in that professional capacity. If you use it for an employer or a client, you confirm that you have their authority to agree to these Terms for that use.
Membership is by invitation. An existing member or SafetyLM invites you by email; the invitation is personal to you and is not transferable.
2. What the Service is, and is not
SafetyLM is an assistant built on large language models. It answers questions about Work Health and Safety from a practitioner’s knowledge base, from published regulator and industry documents, from notes we have written from published documents, and, when an answer depends on what is current, from a web search it runs for the purpose. It can review a document you attach.
The Service is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the law or for a qualified practitioner. Its knowledge base holds no Acts or Regulations. When it names a section, a regulation or a penalty, the reference comes from a practitioner’s summary, from a published document, from a web page it read, or from the model itself. A web page it reads for a current answer can be a page of a legislation register; the answer cites it as a web page with the date it was read, and the Service still does not assert that the law is current. The Service tells you when a cited section was found in the material it read and when it was not. “Found” means a passage the Service retrieved cites that section; it does not confirm the law. The Service declines some questions on purpose, for example a penalty amount it cannot source, and says why.
Before you rely on any answer, check it against the regulator’s current publication and, where it matters, take professional or legal advice. The Disclaimer sets out the limits of what the Service can do, and you accept it when you first use the Service.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything done under your account. Tell us at hello@arrley.com if you think someone else has used it. An account is for one person; do not share it.
You may invite up to three other people to the Service. An invitation holds its place for seven days. We may change the number of invitations a member has, or pause invitations, without notice. We may decline or revoke an invitation.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings › Account. Deleting it removes your profile, your chats and your messages, and ends any paid plan at once: nothing further is charged, and the rest of a period you have paid for is not refunded, since the choice to end it early is yours.
4. Plans and prices
The Service offers the following plans. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
| Plan | Price | Questions a day | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preview | Free for 90 days | 10 | The default model, and the default Think deeper model; no document review, Word export or guided tasks |
| Practitioner | A$49 a month, or A$490 a year | 150 | Every model in the list, document review, Word export and the guided tasks |
| Practitioner Max | A$200 a month, or A$2,000 a year | No limit | Everything in Practitioner |
| Teams | A$39 a seat a month, or A$390 a seat a year, for 2 to 5 seats | 150 a seat | Everything in Practitioner, for each person on the team, on one bill |
Every plan includes your chat history across your devices. A question answered with Think deeper counts as two questions. Your daily count resets at midnight in the time zone your device reported when you started your Preview; where none was reported, at midnight in Sydney. When you reach your plan’s limit, the Service declines further questions until the reset and offers you an upgrade.
The models in the list change from time to time, and we may add, replace or withdraw a model with notice in the Service. Two models hosted by Anthropic, Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5, are offered until 8 November 2026 and leave the list that day; until then Think deeper starts on Opus 5.5 unless you choose another model, and the Privacy Policy says what that sends to Anthropic.
We may give complimentary access to our own team and to people we choose. Complimentary access carries no payment, and we may change or withdraw it at any time.
5. The Preview, and how a paid plan begins
5.1 Starting your Preview. After you create your account you start your Preview: you choose Practitioner, monthly or yearly, and either save a payment card or enter a preview code we have given you. With a code the plan is monthly until you add a card, when you choose again. Practitioner Max is available through Upgrade now during the Preview, or by changing plan later. The Preview lasts 90 days from the day you start it and is free.
5.2 With a card. We save your card with our payment provider, Stripe, and do not charge it during the Preview. On the day the Preview ends, the plan you chose begins and we charge your card its first price. You may cancel at any time before it, in which case nothing is charged and your access ends when the Preview does.
5.3 With a code. No card is taken. When the Preview ends, your access pauses until you add a card in Settings › Plan and usage. When you add one, the plan you chose begins and we charge your card its first price.
5.4 Upgrading early. You may end your Preview early with Upgrade now. Your card is charged the plan’s price at once and the plan begins that day.
5.5 The Preview is once per person. You may not start a second Preview by creating another account.
6. Payment, renewal and cancellation
6.1 Automatic renewal. A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, until you cancel. We charge the price of your plan to your saved card at the start of each period. You authorise us and Stripe to do so.
6.2 Invoices and receipts. Stripe issues a tax invoice for every charge, showing the GST component and our ABN, and emails you a receipt. Your invoices are available from Settings › Plan and usage.
6.3 Changing plan. You may change between Practitioner and Practitioner Max, and between monthly and yearly, from Settings › Plan and usage. The Service shows you what the change means before you confirm. A move to a more expensive plan, or from monthly to yearly, takes effect at once, and the difference for the rest of the current period is charged to your card. A move to a less expensive plan, or from yearly to monthly, takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for: you keep your current plan until then, and nothing is refunded or credited for the remainder. You may undo a scheduled change at any time before it takes effect.
6.4 Cancelling. You may cancel at any time from Settings › Plan and usage, or by emailing hello@arrley.com. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing further is charged. We do not refund the remainder of a paid period when you cancel, except as section 9 requires. You may resume a cancelled plan before the period ends.
6.5 Changing your card. You may replace your saved card at any time from Settings › Plan and usage.
6.6 A failed charge. If a charge fails, Stripe retries it over the following days and emails you. Your access continues while it retries. If every retry fails, your plan is cancelled and your access ends; you may start a new plan by saving a card again.
6.7 Price changes. We may change a plan’s price. We will email you at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and it applies from your next renewal after that notice. You may cancel before then.
6.8 Taxes. Prices include Australian GST. You are responsible for any other tax that applies to your purchase under the law of the place you buy from.
7. Discounts
7.1 Inviting others. When a person you invited makes their first payment for a paid plan, you earn a 10% discount on your own plan, to a total of 30% for three paying members. A discount you have earned stays for as long as you keep a paid plan with us. It applies to every later charge for your own plan. No discount applies to a Teams bill.
7.2 Students. A student enrolled in a relevant course may ask us at hello@arrley.com for a 50% discount on Practitioner or Practitioner Max. We may ask for evidence of enrolment and may withdraw the discount when the enrolment ends. The student discount does not apply to a Teams bill.
7.3 One discount at a time. Where you qualify for more than one discount, the larger applies. Discounts are never combined.
7.4 Changes. We may change or end a discount program for people who have not yet earned a discount. A discount you have already earned stays as section 7.1 says.
8. Teams
A Teams plan covers 2 to 5 people on one bill, paid by one member, the team administrator. We set a team up at your request, naming the administrator and the number of seats; the administrator starts the plan from Settings › Plan and usage and chooses who fills the seats. The administrator’s saved card is charged for every seat at the start of each period. A seat added during a period is charged for the remainder of it; a reduction in seats takes effect at the end of the period, with nothing refunded. No discount applies to a Teams bill. If the administrator, or a person given a seat, already pays for a plan of their own, that plan continues and is charged as before until they cancel it; a Teams plan does not end or refund it, and the Service says so when the plan is started or the seat is given. Each person on the team has their own account, their own chats and their own daily count; the administrator cannot read other members’ chats. A member removed from a team keeps their account and may start their own plan.
9. Your rights under consumer law
The Australian Consumer Law gives consumers guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose you tell us about, and be supplied within a reasonable time. If you are in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 may give you rights of the same kind. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights, or any other right you have that cannot be excluded by agreement.
If the Service fails to meet a guarantee, you are entitled to the remedies the law provides, which can include a refund. Where a refund is due, we pay it to the card you paid with.
If we withdraw the Service, or end your plan for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
10. Your content
Your questions, the documents you attach and your chats are yours. You give us the licence we need to run the Service for you and no more: to send your questions, the chat so far and any attached document to the models and services named in the Privacy Policy, to store your chats in your account, and to show them back to you.
A document you attach is read in your browser and sent with each question while it stays attached. We do not store its text; your chat keeps only its name and length. You are responsible for having the right to share any document you attach, and for removing personal information about other people that the review does not need.
We do not use your questions, documents or chats to train models, and we do not sell them. The providers who process them for us say the same; the Privacy Policy names each provider and what it has published.
11. What the Service produces
Answers are generated by large language models from the material the Service gives them. They can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or confidently mistaken, and two answers to the same question can differ. You may use the answers in your own professional work. You are responsible for checking an answer before you rely on it, for the decisions you make with it, and for the advice you give others on the strength of it.
No answer creates a professional relationship between you and us, and nothing in the Service is a representation that any law or figure it describes is current.
12. Our content
The Service, its design, its practitioner knowledge base, the notes we have written and the instructions the models run on are owned by us or our licensors. All rights are reserved. The public documents in the knowledge base belong to their publishers; the Sources panel names the publisher of each passage and links to the document. The marks shown beside each model belong to the model’s maker and say only whose model it is.
You may not copy, extract or reconstruct the knowledge base, the notes or the instructions; scrape or automate access to the Service; or offer the Service, or answers taken from it in bulk, as a product of your own.
If you send us ideas or feedback about the Service, we may use them without owing you anything.
13. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms and says what you may not do with the Service. In short: nothing unlawful, nothing that harms other people or their privacy, no sharing of accounts, no automated access, and no attempts to make the Service produce what it is designed to refuse.
14. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available, and we may take it down for maintenance or to fix a fault. We do not promise that it will be available at all times or free of error. We may change, add or withdraw features, models and limits, and we tell you in the Service when a change affects what you can do. If a change materially reduces what a plan you have paid for includes, we email you at least 14 days before it applies, and you may cancel before then and have the unused part of any period you have paid for refunded.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we must to comply with law or protect the Service and its members, or if a charge for your plan fails and is not recovered. Where we reasonably can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, we do not refund the period you have paid for; if we close it for any other breach, we refund the unused part of that period less any loss we have reasonably suffered from the breach. Sections 9 to 13 and 16 to 18 continue to apply after your account ends.
16. Liability
To the extent the law allows, and subject to section 9:
- the Service is provided as it stands, and we do not promise that any answer is correct, current or complete;
- we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on an answer, from a decision you make with it, or from advice you give others on the strength of it;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data that you could have backed up;
- our total liability to you for everything arising from these Terms and the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in that period and A$100.
You are responsible to us for loss we suffer because of your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy or your unlawful use of the Service, to the extent you caused it. These limits do not apply to loss that the law does not allow a party to exclude or limit.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. The current version is always at safetylm.ai/terms with its date. For a change that matters to you, we email members at least 14 days before it applies. If you do not accept a change that is materially adverse to you, you may cancel before it applies and we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for. Continuing to use the Service after a change applies is acceptance of it.
18. Law, disputes and contact
These Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales and the courts that hear appeals from them have jurisdiction. If you are in New Zealand, nothing here prevents you from relying on New Zealand consumer law or taking a matter to a court or tribunal in New Zealand where the law allows.
If something goes wrong, tell us first at hello@arrley.com and we will try to put it right. Nothing here limits your right to complain to a consumer or privacy regulator.
19. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unfair, that part is severed and the rest stands. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to a successor to our business, in which case we tell you by email and the successor takes on our obligations under these Terms and the Privacy Policy; you may not assign yours without our written consent. Notices from us are sent to the email address on your account. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
