How we test SafetyLM

EvaluationsOct 2026 · Figures awaiting sign-off

Fixed questions, the live service, dated results.

We test SafetyLM against fixed sets of practitioner questions, run them against the service you would use, and publish what we find with the month and the model. Including what it gets wrong.

What we changed because of them

In August and September we measured the same thing three times. A written instruction is weaker than a computed gate. Asked for a Western Australian penalty without its gate, a model said $500,000, then $10 million. With the gate, the question is declined before any model runs, every time.

So the rules that matter most are computed, not requested: the penalty refusal and the citation check sit outside the model.

What the numbers don't mean

A passing case means SafetyLM gave the expected answer to that question in that run. It doesn't mean every answer is right. Several suites grade the shape of an answer rather than its legal accuracy, and we say so beside them.
